Baby Ben was delivered via c-section, and came into the world with assertive and loud squawks. He cries loudly at times, but I’ve calmed him with loud shushing. Sometimes he’ll yelp a bit and then calm himself down.

He’s curious -- I’ve noticed him staring at people and things. We’ve had a couple of staring contests -- he’ll raise his eyebrows and just look at you with his big gray-blue baby eyes.

Baby Ben loves to suck. I gave him my pinky and he tried really hard to suck it right off. I couldn’t imagine him having so much force. He had his first meal in the first hour and has had several more since. What goes in must come out, and it does...

Baby Ben is a healthy and happy baby -- and Mom and Dad are super-happy (as are grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles, aunts and friends).
